Chess is a game that was first played 4000 years ago. It is a sport that brings forward thinking, makes you comprehend the importance of moving within a plan, teaches to think quickly, accurate and fast, develops the skill to approach the events with correct exegesis, gives the analytical thinking structure and ability to analyse, teaches to be patient, to be even-tempered and to reach to momentary correct conclusions. You know many philosophers and men who regard life as a game. Chess is the only game among all the others that gives no chance to luck whatsoever. Although we accept that life is full of luck and coincidences, we should not as well forget that we create our own luck and coincidences. We hope that this sport shall take place at our homes and further hope that the number of mothers, fathers and children who play this game increases.

We are in need of young people who are conscious, interrogating, who put the abilities and facilities, in brief all the tools on the table and make the right evaluations. As the famous philosopher said, we have to breed young people who first know themselves and then their limits. During the growth of our children, if we expect them to take responsibility, to follow rationalist ways and to direct their lives in the right direction the family atmosphere presented to them should be supportive and the rationalism has to be a part of the family culture. As you know the easiest and quickest way to teach children is by games and sports. That is why chess, in this context, is the right tool.   

Because, when we talk to people who love chess we see that they are rather successful both in their private and professional lives. In conversations, we make on their success stories we see that many of those who love chess emphasise that "chess has given them the ability to evaluate life just like the game played on the chess board".

Both to utilise all the positive aspects listed above and to set friendship among the companies, to improve team spirit and self ability awareness of the personnel gathered under the roof of OYAK Automobile and Cement Groups  we have been organising "OYAK AUTOMOBILE and CEMENT GROUPS CHESS TOURNAMENT" since 2006.

The first three at the end of the game played by 6 tours at Swiss tour system 60 min+30sec/move:
• First: 3,000.00 TL and Cup
• Second: 2,000.00 TL and Cup
• Third: 1,000.00 TL and Cup and a participant certificate to each participant.
